Neil joined Mackrell in 2025, bringing more than 20 years of experience in employment law.

Neil provides comprehensive advice on both contentious and non-contentious employment matters, supporting clients across a broad range of industries.

With extensive experience in corporate transactions, large-scale collective consultations, and redundancy programs, Neil is well-versed in handling complex employment challenges. He also has a strong track record in high-stakes litigation, regularly representing clients in the Employment Tribunal.

Neil’s areas of expertise include:

• Redundancies, restructuring, and collective dismissals
• Employment law aspects of mergers, acquisitions, outsourcing, and TUPE
• Complex disciplinary and grievance procedures
• Senior executive appointments, terminations, and settlement agreements
• Discrimination, diversity, and equal opportunities matters
• Drafting and advising on employment contracts, service agreements, and workplace policies

Outside of work, Neil enjoys fellwalking in the Lake District and has climbed Kilimanjaro and Toubkal. He also enjoys photography, creative writing and filmmaking.
