Kirsty Wright joined Mackrell Turner Garrett in August 2016, having trained and qualified with another central London firm.
She is a specialist in commercial litigation and has acted for companies and individuals across a wide range of sectors including: oil, gas and sustainable technology, sport and sponsorship, fashion, and financial services.
She has experience in a range of high profile domestic and multi-jurisdictional disputes through both the English High Court and Arbitration, as well as disputes progressing through the Intellectual Property Court and Employment Tribunals..
Recent cases include:
- Commodities dispute to the value of $50 million regarding payment of goods and international sanctions . Proceedings bought under London Court of International Arbitration Rules.
- Sustainable technology dispute to the value of $18 million regarding defective products and contractual warranty provisions. Proceedings bought International Chamber of Commerce Rules.
- Civil dispute concerning conspiracy and economic duress following from a departure from an agreement in principal that was also subject to contract and varied before it was executed.
Kirsty is also a keen show-jumper and competes predominantly at BSJA competitions and occasionally dressage.
